    Broken man

    His is so worthless,
    There stands a broken man.
    His life torn apart,
    all broken and sad.

A tear rolls down his cheek,
    standing their in the rain.
    Knowing that no one,
    could ever bear the pain.

    He can't go on living,
    only has one wish left.
    "God please take me away.
I only wish that I were dead."

    Yet he still stands there,
    wondering where to go.
    There stands a broken man,
    standing all alone.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
