Brighter Star

The days and months the year goes by and my life is still the same.
I move ahead ten thousand steps then ten thousand back again.
I've lost a sense of who I am and what I'l like to be...I stumble through the darkness 'til that's all that I can see.
Turn on the light, life lingers there...it wasn't meant for deep despair.
You're hopes and dreams can still be met...you're young life isn't over yet.
The silly things that break your heart can help you plan a brand new start.  So look for good things new and bright...Please always keep your goals in sight.
Time can change the way things are and lead us to a brighter star.

I like this. It's so true about life, I think. Hopefully you'll find yourself.

A beautifully written poem. So many truisms in it, Certain parts make me feel as if you know me. Well done.

This is a well written poem. The rhymn and rhythmn are very good. And u paint a good picture in the readers mind. And i especially enjoy reading the last line - Time can change the way things are and lead us to a brighter star. You also make good use of metaphors. Many poets at this site fail to use metaphors which I consider often essential when writing verses. now to the rating i give this work a 10. and wud appreciate ur reading my poem The Heart

this is a good poem, I enjoyed the message in it, please keep writting

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
