Beyond Life
I feel you all around us, It makes no sense to anyone but me
Whether it is a smell, sight, or some faint voice, I know that it is you, who is now free, While I wonder what you see, and if you're loving this life Beyond
For it is your memory of which I am so fond, That allows me to wonder in what new dream you must be. Has it been everything you thought? Is there something beyond this life?
I know that you always told us, that when it was your turn you'd be reunited with your wife. I'm sure that when it was your time, she came for you early that day You went with her without hesitation, as we continued to sit and pray. Do you see roads of gold, a sun so bright? One that shines all the time, even in the night. Do you hear the music, that you loved so much when you were here. Are you now dancing with your wife that your heart always held so dear? Are you aware of our sorrow, do you know we miss you now. Maybe it is not important to you, but our love to you we still do vow
Visiting your grave is difficult, I know that it is just your body below
Your spirit, your soul, your inner being, is what we are missing so
I want to be able to tell you that life is not the same
I've told myself in the years since you died that I've had to stop placing blame
For I know you are with us more Than you ever were before, God gave us back the man we loved, In fact, we love you that much more!
