Between the Days

When the earth rolls over

And turns its light down long and low

My soul hangs between the days

Lulled by the content of my illusions

I close my eyes

And open my heart to dream

Embracing the empty page of my imagination

I fall relentlessly into the void

Between what is present and what is past

that was a wonderful little piece dear......you have captured the feelings of many a poet with this one.......we are all often trapped in the in-between and are inspired by our emotions to let are hands flow across the pages........I am sure you have so much more out there to share with us, I eagerly await more of your wonderful posts....love asha

I re-read Trade Winds and then see it's magic - your magic in this piece.... the same peacefulness resides in your words. Keep writing and post more soon....

To me a poem is never short if it is whole; this poem is whole, complete and comtemplative; I like it.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
