Baby Girl

Baby Girl

Violets are blue,roses are red
The day you were born, still floats in my head

The diapers to wash P.U.
Bottles to boil,niples to

Next thing I know, your off to school
You didn't think, that was so cool

I turned around,a teenager you were
School you didn't want,quite a stir

Then you got married, how hard I cried
My baby girl, how time does slip by

Beautiful babies,next on your plate
Now a grandma,Isn't it great

The best thing about you,I am so proud
Jesus is your life,I'll shout out loud

Baby Girl,I love you, grown as you are
To me,you'll always be a star

That is one of the most touching writings that I have read in a long time. The love of your daughter reverberates with each word. The love for her that you words speak allow for a wonderful, loving and supportive Grandmother. Well done.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
