Atop a Mountain
I could live on a mountain; but why would I want to? I wouldn't be able to gaze up to it's beauty and magnificence!I wouldn't be able to count the infinite number of trees that grow on it; reaching for the burning rays of the sun!
Why would I want everyone else to be below me when they could gaze along with me?!
I don't want to be above the world; I want to be down here and look up at those stone giants demonstrating their power by cutting into the very fabric of the sky and scarring the horizon forever.
The ocean is flat and boring; but mountains bring life and give us something to look at!
I don't want to live on a mountain; I want to be to the bottom and thus climb all the way to the top and achieve the greatest of challenges and climb down; and when I get back to the bottom, I want to look back at it's beauty and feel the wind rushing down and hear the trees rustling and creaking; what a magical feeling that is.
I have something special with mountains; they have a special place in my heart.
I thank God for blessing this earth with mountains; because then I wouldn't have them in my heart and thus not having such a big heart that I have for them. I want to live at the feet of mountains and climb every single one; because every time I reach the top; I gaze into the heavens, and I know the heavens are gazing back.
