    As You Wish

    As You Wish

    As you wish
    I stand apart
    A tear rolls down
    My face, I watch.

    Neglect evaporates
    Our feelings,
    They become
    A mournful vapor.

    Banished from
    Existence they
    Seep into
    Crevices of time.

    Belonging no more,
    A sob escapes me.
    I stand apart
    As you wish.

I felt the same tear..maybe more than once too many. I like this, it speaks clearly but sadly

I felt this as I read it... Mornful vapor... Sad... I like this...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
