    APRIL FOUR

Working down the path of history
All alone to make up a story
    With no predetermined destination
I stumbled on April four section
Of the sacred book of creation
    With effortless precision
    My eyes burrowed through
    The sacred pages proving true
    To my doubting imagination
    That the Almighty with passion
    Had you wonderfully made
As well as fearfully as He said
On that special day of April
Happy birthday as you on his will sail.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
