    There is a chill tonight

    It cuts through the air

    I still think of you

    I can see you standing there

    The sky a deep black

    Not as dark as my soul

    It has gone way too far

    Completely out of control

    I hear a couple in the distance

    They laugh and carry on

    Then he begins to sing to her

    A beautiful love song

    They slowly approach me

    They pass by and never see

    This brokenhearted man

    Crying in misery

    I raise up my head, look up

    Then begin to pray

    As I thank the Lord

    For helping me through another day
