ANGELS

ANGELS

As I slowly drift asleep,
In a slumber oh so deep,
I have a vision through the night,
Visions of ANGELS, true and bright.

ANGELS are around us each and everyday,
ANGELS keep us safe from harms way,
No matter what troubles, toils, or snares,
GODS' ANGELS are always there.

GOD sends ANGELS from above,
To guard us with unconditional LOVE,
Through heartaches, and through pain,
ANGELS protect us from lifes' shame.

Whenever you are tired, and weak,
PRAY for an ANGEL that you seek,
So when you go to bed at night,
Have an ANGEL be your light.

"SEND ME AN ANGEL, LORD I PRAY!"
To watch over me night and day.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
