    An Empty Room

    “An Empty Room”

    Brightly colored walls

    Damp and cold,

    Wide opened window

    Nice but old,

    A door that hid nothing;

    Just the floor, window and walls.

    She keeps on saying

    She’s happy,

    She needed nobody,

    Strong as the wall

    Could face destiny’s call.

    Surpassed all the sorrows;

    Breathe through her window

    And soared her very own floor.

    Her eyes tells not

    What you see;

    I read it clearly

    And she’s lonely,

    For her heart

    Is empty.

    I love the metaphor yotch of yourself compared to an empty room...it's quit touching..the usage of words is fine and the rhyming too...a 10 of course...^_^ v

    Interesting poem. Needs more substance though. A good read.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
