Remember
On one special day, I knew that you must,
Have given me all of your trust.
And when you sealed my life with your kiss.
I knew it would never get better than this.
I still can almost taste you upon my lips,
Before that joyous moment from me slips.
More time together I knew would never be,
Because I was not able to make you see,
Everything that you meant to me.
I never said to you,
All the words that I should,
Or express the tenderness,
In my heart that I would.
I know for sure that,
I never did for you all that I could.
If I had known then I would miss you so,
I never could or would have let you go.
Since then I feel left out in the cold,
When I have only memories of you to hold.
Now, as I enter this path beyond November,
Far from any hope of loves burning ember,
All that I can ever ask of you,
Is that, which you once asked of me,
To remember.
