    A void

There is this Void in my chest where my heart used to be filled by your
very touch, smell warmtho f your sould and the smile in your eyes when you gazed in my direction, with a look that filled my moments,
my hours, my days with brilliant light.
Where the merest touch of your hand or the shpe of a quick glance
    could mold my sub-conscious core.

This void is now choked off with such an icy menasing atmosphere, a miasma
A choking fog I cannot disperse
That pervades every dream and dulls all my senses, causing chest pain

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
