    a thought took flight

    a single smile

    a gentle laugh

    one single touch

    and

    a thought took flight

     

    took hold

    of me like the gentle

    yet firm touch

    of a mother guarding

    their young

    that thought took flight

     

    has my mind soaring

    the beautiful spread

    of a dove

    releasing its wings

    in freedom

    my thoughts

    have found haven in

    a place beyond

    reach of anything without

    pure wings

    these thoughts take flight

     

    imagining and

    dreaming

    with sincerity

    confessing yet

    protecting

    the genuine ideas

    of this thought

     

    i have released

    my grip on reality

    to enjoy the weightlessness

    of this thought

    soaring

    in flight

    and as it travels

    it evolves into

    the beautiful love

    it could be
