A thing i've become

A thing i've become

Heard it knock,
Look towards my window,
As though another world would appear,
I lie in wait,
What is this at my window,
Oh how I felt it,
It's heart beat,
Matched mine,
I can't stand it ,
I want let it in,
Then,
 It opened my window,
their it is at the end of the bed,
I wait to see it's form,
That's it though,
When I fell back,
My body was asleep,
Yet the creature stood watching me,
Then it changed something in me,
It's eyes were mine,
As I looked upon,
watching my body,
For then did I relize,
That I was,
A creature of night.

I like the creativity of this piece. It's kind of dark and twisted. Aside from a couple of typos, I think it reads really smoothly.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
