Poem Commentary

My life consisted of much going on in my childhood days. Being the youngest of six girls, the only one with a different dad i never knew. decades later, my mother had an illness that interrupted her breathing at times. It became so bad til the doctors had given up on her, wanting to put a tube down her throat. I had just started my walk with God, since i really had to know who my real father was. God changed my life completely when he proved to me his realness. No tubes down the throat, but prayers, promises, and faith to my father. Yes, my mother did leave the hospital to a rehab center to walk again. God showed me a miracle !

A strange thing happened

Within the mist of days gone by. Times of sirens, doctors, and tells of no survive. Prayers beyond praise. The mind at seize. Heartless pain to mend strong for anothers' soul. Rebulking all negativity, waiting on a miracle. Walking by faith, cries in the night. Just wondering, "what's my purpose in life ?" Only one parent, never had an earthly dad. Why would the only one in my life be taken ? Prayers, promises, and faith went a long way. Prayers for her recovery, promises i made to my father above, and walking by faith made a strange thing happen. My mother rose from her bed of sickness, and began to live again.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
