A Shoulder To Cry On
Teardrops fall to the ground as a little girl bends down She doesn't know yet why she's here only that she lives in fear Reading the words carved in the stone she starts to remember the words intoned A single tear rolls down her cheek hitting the cold stone concrete A single rose she lays down and presses her cheek to the ground Missing her mommy she weeps again as an angel appears to help her cope with the sadness within Scared and frightened she shies away trying to hide from an angel in pain A tear rolls down the angel's cheek as she gently starts to weep The little girl looks up and sees wondering why the angel is crying acting almost as if she is dying "Why are you crying?" the little girl asks "I know what you're going through sweet little one. I know it's hard, but soon you'll see that you and I are meant to be." The little girl sits wondering and confused how this person knows about all the things she's been through Gently the angel gives the girl a hug trying to comfort her and show her some caring love Pulling away the little girl is confused she's starting to recognize this angel as someone she once knew Turning away she takes a few steps then she realizes and quickly looks back "Mommy" she says but it's already too late the angel is gone and floating away The little girl looks up and sees the blue sky "I love you Mommy" she whispers and turns for one last goodbyeA Shoulder To Cry On
