A REFLECTION OF ME

Poem Commentary

sometimes the person we see when we look in the mirror is just a inside reflection of ourselves. It takes someone on the outside looking in to enhance that reflection.

A REFLECTION OF ME

When I look in the mirror
Wonder who I see
I'm not certain there's a
Reflection of me
This reflection has painted
The reaction on my face
So delicately
Wonder is it me
I stare into the eyes of her
Phenomenally
No hurt or pain
Just pride and dignity
Wonder who I see
The person that stares back
Isn't afraid and fragile
Like me
She's Sleek,Sexy,Savvy and
As tough as can be
When I look into the mirror
A reflection is all I see
A reflection of me

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
