The tale of Rebecca

I found hope and I have found a new love
A connection with God and the heavens above
And here you are typing to me
Never knowing the damage done I clearly see

I remember that ride
In my car, a vicious crash I was terrified
Lost and severely injured for sure
Most of your friends refused to help me, because they never seen me before

One friend did and I do not remember her name
A genius with directions, never to see her again what a shame
Then there is you
Who never remained honest or true

Yet I loved you and I forced myself to make the trip
Despite my condition, I wanted to work on the relationship
You never visited me, you were full of lies
Only heartbroken and months later did I realize

My car was crushed on the left side
Where all my injuries did reside
I was lucky to walk away from that disaster
Several hours late I arrived with pain no laughter

I hated the way you treated me back then
My memory shoots flash backs as I write with my pen
The tears and lonely agony
For once in my damn life I feel free

I learned a lot about myself
This book will be shortly put back on the shelf
Online is not where you should try
To find what you are looking for as you gaze into the sky

I cannot talk to her any longer
In the suffering I have become stronger
The past is a page dead and gone
Like a dying plant in my front lawn

Moving on i have better things to do
Some are exciting and new
I wish I never made that drive
A learning experience I'm happy to survive

Deleted you out of my phone
You were never there for me, I always felt alone
Good bye I'm sending this part of me out to sea
At least when I am in love I am faithfully
