Depends on who you go with, but who ever you go with be sure to do some research and ask questions.

I was wondering about that myself. What all do you include in the book ? Do you add photos ?

You can add photos, you can do just an art book (genre: coffee table), you can illustrate yourself, be hands on... with the right publisher.
Depending on who you go through to publish a book. If you go with a company that is free publishing they just will take a percentage of your royalties till you make up the difference of what it cost to publish the book... then theirs companies that will charge anywhere from 2000+
I went with Publish America which will network the book on websites, but at retail stores you have to help self promote your book.
It takes a lot of patience... which I am still learning off hand.

One more thing their are a lot of bad things said about Publish America but my experience was NOT at all bad. I even looked them up at BBB, and they are lagit.
The people who complained from what I researched was wanting things just to happen and not wanting to do any leg work, plus patience has a lot to do with it.

Congratulations on your first book. I looked it up on Amazon and am curious why you do not have the LOOK INSIDE feature which gives prospective buyers a glimpse of what they will find within your book?

Hi, my name is actually Andrew! I am charlesdarling on originalpoetry if you would like to look me up, and also read some of my poems!
I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. Just briefly, I am hoping to get published soon. How should I gather my poems together to present to a publisher?
The process of getting these poems I have collected of mine is daunting. I hope that you have something good to say about how you were able to do this. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
