Review

The most honest emotions, armed with a love for the written word, can produce some of the most exquisite poetry that pierces the heart. People write when they are inspired, and in turn, the written word inspires other people to rekindle feelings of old, or evoke feelings yet to be encountered. Poet-author Ray Greene shares a collection of heartfelt words that will forever bear emotions, thoughts, and experiences in "We’ve All Been There." A poet knows no depth, no boundaries, when it comes to expressing thoughts or emotions. With each poetic verse, a segment of life is revealed or reveled, and then shared with people, reaffirming the fact that in this cycle called life, we are not alone. "We’ve All Been There" connects readers to certain people, places, and times wherein each unique feeling was conceived, exploring the limitless capability of people to feel, think, and express.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
